The sun has been very quiet this week. There are three new active regions – two along the eastern limb and one above AR4518. Others have disappeared to the sun’s far side. Prominences are few and wispy – no impressive arches or plumes. Below is today’s H-alpha image. The active regions are best represented by their associated bright plages.
