Watching reports from Ukraine showing the utter destruction of cities like Mariupol, I think that if Ukrainians emerge from this invasion as Ukraine, the rest of the world should not end anti-Russian sanctions until all Russian troops are withdrawn from Ukraine, Putin is removed from office, and Russia makes reparations akin to those that Germany made at the end of WW II. If Belarus participates in the invasion, they too must be made to provide reparations.
Russia’s reparations should probably include dismantling some Russian military assets, the return of Crimea to Ukraine, the deportation of all those wanting to be part of Russia to what is Russia today, and financial restitution to the Ukrainian and collateral casualties of this war.
