I’m in the observatory tonight trying to do a little astrophotography. The skies have been overcast for a couple of weeks, and prior to that, the combination of full moon (or nearly full) in addition to the city light pollution made astrophotography impossible. While I was out there, this fella or gal fell out of the sky landing inside the observatory.
I don’t have an ID for it, but it is a large, brown beetle – maybe 2+ inches from end to end. Does anyone recognize it?
