The star of this evening’s dinner was a Shishito pepper. We were introduced to these peppers last year by our hostess at the Casitas de Gila dark observing site in New Mexico. These peppers are available here at the Central Market, but we had never tried them before. I fire roasted them on the grill as I grilled a steak, and we found them mild and tasty.

So, this evening, I grilled a ribeye and roasted a couple of ears of corn and two Shishito peppers – one for Susan and another for me. It was a yummy dinner.
