My father was an aficionado of all things sausage; chorizo was his favorite. So, when I saw the French physicist’s post of a photo of a slice of chorizo proffered as a James Webb image of Proxima Centuri, I almost wet my pants. I too love a good sausage. My preference is for the patty rather than classical tube steak form. But I will take either one in a storm.
You will therefore not be surprised that I was greatly amused by the conservative snowflakes clutching their pearls and losing their minds when Cracker barrel recently announced that they had added Impossible Meats‘ sausage patties to their breakfast menu. I had to try them!
Susan ordered them for me from Amazon Fresh. They arrived around midnight. I had to have one. It turns out that they are not a microwave-friendly food. So, she put a patty in a small saucepan, and gave it the appropriate treatment. It looked like this.

The patties come in savory and spicy flavors. I’m the offspring of Mexican immigrants. I asked for the spicy ones, of course. I ate this patty without other accompaniments. I find it to be entirely edible and yummy. I often prepare pasta meals with hot Italian sausage pasta sauce.
This meat alternative is every bit as enjoyable. And it has the added advantage of letting me make fun of ketchup-slurping, happy meal eating conservative wankers. 😂🤣😂
