I bought a piece of Alaskan Halibut for dinner. Susan pan-fried the Halibut in a homemade pecan crust. I perused the Internet looking for recipes combining shallots and mushrooms in order to make a side that would complement the fish. The result was a Shiitake mushroom-shallot-garlic medley with capers. We boiled an artichoke and served it with garlic butter. Some crostini with basil pesto rounded out the meal.
