There hasn’t been any astrophotography for weeks. It seems that clouds are the order of the season even if rain is not. We did have a nice thunderstorm last week, and we got several inches of rain in just a couple of hours. It would be better to have a steady rain for days so that it would soak into the soil and replenish the water table and our rivers and lakes. Alas, it may be a long time before that occurs. In the meantime, plants that have been striving to continue living despite the shortage of moisture explode into bloom when their thirst is finally quenched. This purple sage in our backyard is a good example.
