It’s a line from Shakespear’s Merchant of Venice. I thought of it yesterday afternoon when I got a Tdap vaccine (Tetanus, Diphtheria, acellular Pertussis) during my PCP visit. I needed a Flu shot too, but my PCP is the kind of guy that prefers to administer a single vaccine at a time. That way, an adverse reaction can be more easily attributed to a specific vaccine. He’s a very thoughtful guy.
Today, I went to my local Walgreen’s to get my Fluzone (high dose Influenza vaccine). I have a little soreness in both deltoid muscles today, but neither is a big deal. I removed the Flu shot’s Band-Aid this evening. There was a tiny drop of dried blood on the sterile pad. I guess that if you prick us, we do indeed bleed.
If you haven’t already, get your Flu shot soon.
