I restart my Win10 desktop with a sense of trepidation when I see the option to restart and install updates because sometimes the updates render my system unbootable, and I am faced with reinstalling Windows 10. It isn’t that big a deal, but it is tedious. I’ve made a bootable ISO on disk, and I’ve saved the ISO on my NAS cloud. Still, I hate it when that happens. It happened today, and on a lark, I decided to uninstall the latest “Quality Update to Windows 10.” It worked! My unbootable machine became bootable again.

Sometimes I think that some shit that passes for quality in some circles is just shit.
