Last night was the last of three chilly nights, and Susan decided to make beef stew. Like roasted tomato basil soup, this is a dish we make once or twice a year as winter comfort food. Susan’s stew has beef stew meat, chopped russet potatoes, cabbage, carrots, beef broth, a large sweet yellow onion, a few spices including chile piquin from the backyard garden.

I spent much of the night making pictures of Comet C/2022 E3 NZT. It was low in the North-Northwestern horizon; so my images are not much to brag about. If I can make a passable image from the raw frames, I’ll post it later tonight or tomorrow.

Tonight, we had BBQ from Brown’s BBQ trailer on South Lamar. I had pork ribs; Susan had beef brisket.
