The young folks left for Omaha today but not before making one last foray into RMNP. They went to a little place called Hidden Valley. Decades ago, it was a skiing site. Now, it is a verdant valley with gentle trails and a bubbling creek. The grands hiked there until it was time for lunch. They then went to Coffee on the Rocks to relax and feed ducks. Susan and I chilled back at the house.

We met up later, and they packed all their stuff for the trip home. Susan and I then tended to our own packing. We made a trip to You Need Pie – a place recommended by a FB friend. I had a slice of Mango Rhubarb pie; I do not recommend it. We later ate some junk food for dinner and continued packing. Later in the evening, we saw our last herd of Elk as they walked across the meadow that is our backyard. Susan thought that many of the females were pregnant; she’s probably right, their young are usually born in the spring.
