It turns out that on this day in 2020, I bought Alaskan Halibut for our dinner. Isn’t that a hoot? Today, oblivious of that bit of personal history, I went to the grocery store to buy whitefish. I bought the Alaskan Halibut, of course.

Once home, I prepared a seafood pecan crust (equal parts pecan pieces and panko with a pinch or two of salt, a dusting of Tony Chachere’s Cajun spice and some orange pepper spice).

Susan applied the pecan crust to the filet and sauteed the fish in olive oil. She served it up with lemon quarters. The side was raw cruciferous vegetables and carrots to dip in a French-onion dip alongside a few crostini with basil pesto.

It was a pornographic gustatory treat.
