It has been months since we had nice marrow bones in the butcher’s display case. A few days ago, I found a few longitudinally cut long bones. Yum!

Tonight, Susan reheated some of the Roasted Tomato Basil soup that I had made a couple of weeks ago. She roasted the marrow bones, and she heated some garlic bread we had on hand. The resulting meal was an unctuous, proteinaceous, and vegetal orgasm!

The marrow, lightly dusted with salt and coarsely ground black pepper, was roasted for 10 minutes in the oven.

The table set with marrow bones, soup, and bread

The plating above consists of marrow bone with a marrow spoon to the immediate right, a dish of roasted tomato basil soup, and a piece of garlic bread. The meal was absolutely yummy.
