That’s New York Strip, of course. The HEB Central Market in South Austin is having some kind of food fest, and NY Strip steaks are selling for $9.99/lb. We bought two – one for dinner and another for Monday’s dinner.
Because we had a cold front move in, dropping our outdoor temperature to 33F tonight, I decided to cook the steak on the indoor grill rather than outside. We picked up a couple of baking spuds, and I had some Shishito peppers on hand to roast as well.
The steak and peppers on the stovetop grill looked like this.
An individual serving/presentation looked like this. The potatoes were dressed in butter, sour cream, and shredded cheddar/jack cheeses.
A good time was had by all.
