Today, I moved my container basil plants to a different spot on the deck. In their former places, I placed two large pots in which I planted the young Epazote plants that Susan ordered for me from The Grower’s Exchange.

Tomorrow, I meet with one of the landscape folks from our lawn service. Most of our flower beds are overgrown with Torilus arvensis and Hackberry saplings. I want all of that cleaned up, a layer of weed suppressant cloth placed on the soil, and a thick layer of mulch placed over all of it. Then I can ponder what to plant there. I already have enough herbs in pots and in a bed along the deck’s driveway edge.

I had a video chat with my brother and then another with our son and his family. We cooked a store-bought pizza and settled in for some Sci-Fi fare afterwards. It was a low-key Easter Sunday.

Maybe I can get Susan to boil an egg or two for me.
