Dinner this evening was an hors d’oeuvre of roasted beef marrow bones, and a bleu cheese burger. The burger patties were made with bleu cheese crumbles and ground beef. It’s been a while since I have made burgers on the outdoor grill. This weekend, I was inspired by the Memorial Day holiday – so many folks take to the beach or the backyard to grill something – a steak, a burger, a hot dog, or maybe to barbeque some ribs or a brisket. Since it is just the two of us, burgers seemed appropriate. The marrow bones were the appetizer course.
Tomorrow’s dinner is roasted duck legs with a red wine and red currant jelly reduction. Yummy.
