I made several 1000-frame solar videos today and then stacked the best 20% of each video’s frames in order to produce a single image from each video. This one turned out best, but there is still much room for improvement.

Today, there are many sunspots which either have not been present these past few days or perhaps I have set the etalon filters to emphasize the photosphere‘s features over those of the solar prominences that extend upward into the chromosphere. In any case, I will have to experiment more to be more purposeful in my instrument settings in order to deliberately image features that I want to emphasize.

Here is today’s solar disk image. There is a solar prominence at about 10 o’clock. A chain of sunspots stretches from about 10 o’clock to about 3 o’clock.
