With a clear sky and a bit more practice with the new, grab ‘n go solar rig, the solar photoshoot went more smoothly than yesterday’s. The comparison views of the solar disk annotated for the cardinal directions appear below.


The highlighted solar rim prominences showed a complex, arcuate, cascade along the eastern limb. There are shorter prominences along the southern and western limbs.

The annotated sunspot cameo below has two areas that I have labelled AR? because I do not have their designations yet.
