Today was a clear. The solar disk images below show much less solar prominence activity than yesterday. The sunspot numbers are lower as well.
In the sunspot cameo below, active region AR3889 continues to produce powerful flares and send sun stuff our way to juice the auroral displays in the northern states. Groups AR3886 and AR3890 below it have become very faint; they are both still visible in other instruments – just not mine.
