There were scattered cirrus clouds today, but they didn’t interfere with my imaging session. The solar disk in H-alpha light (left image below) shows many filaments and a complex prominence along the sun’s eastern limb. There are scattered prominences along the southern and western limbs as well. The broader band image on the right shows several new sunspot groups.
