After several days of cloudiness, I finally have one day of clear skies. Today’s solar images show a new crop of sunspots whose active regions have been producing nice auroras in the northern latitudes. The H-alpha image below shows prominences along the southeastern and southwestern solar limbs are well as some loop prominences along the northeastern limb.

The annotated sunspot image below shows many new active regions.
