Susan cooked up Maryland-style crab cakes with bacon-wrapped asparagus for supper. The side was a salad of pickled vegetables (olives of various kinds, mini-Caprece, pickled mushrooms and artichoke hearts).
Of course, making bacon-wrapped anything requires doing something to control feline curiosity and appetites. Fortunately, both Kedi and Maia were tired; Kedi curled up in my lap for a nap while Susan did the cooking. Maia collapsed on a chair. I think Kedi and I got off pretty easy.
