Today’s H-alpha image shows dramatic arch-like prominences along the E-NE and W-SW solar limbs. There is minor prominence activity along both the SE and NW limbs. There is a bright plage around sunspot group AR4115.

Today’s sunspot image is very different from what I recorded three days ago. Several sunspot regions have disappeared around the western horizon, and there are two new regions – AR4113 and AR4116. My image shows the same five active regions shown in today’s NASA SDO image.
