Below, today’s H-alpha image shows a faint but dramatic prominence along the sun’s NW limb. There are other minor prominences and spicules along the SW, SE, and ENE limbs.

Today’s sunspot image shows nine active regions. AR4220 and AR4216 have disappeared to the sun’s far side. AR4223 has disappeared, and a new region AR4229 has developed above AR4224. A new region, AR4230, has emerged from the sun’s far side.
