Today’s H-alpha image shows impressive prominences along the western solar limb; there are lesser prominences along the NW and SE limbs.

The sunspot image shows seven active regions. AR4231 is new, and AR2121, AR4217, and AR4224 have disappeared.

The prominences are showcased below. The prominences along the western limb show plumes and jets of sun stuff ejected high above the sun’s photosphere.
