Today’s H-alpha image shows ongoing massive prominence activity along the sun’s NE limb. There is also an increase in prominences along the western limb.

The sunspot image shows most of the same active regions present in yesterday’s image. AR4247 has faded into obscurity. NASA’s image shows two regions not visible in my image; these are AR4251 that lies NE of AR4250 and far east of AR4246. AR4253 lies far to the south of AR4246. Neither is visible in the image below.
