Today’s H-alpha image shows prominences along the NE, E, SE, NW, and SW solar limbs. There are bright plages near the sunspot regions as well as arcuate and serpentine filaments.

The annotated sunspot image below shows the largest active regions. Five of the ten active regions that appear in NASA’s satellite solar observatory image are too small to appear in my image.

The prominences along the eastern solar limb are showcased below.
