Today’s H-alpha image shows all seven of the active regions seen on NASA’s SDO image. AR4396, the newest of these regions, is represented by its associated plage; the sunspot itself is not visible in the broad-spectrum sunspot image below. There are complex prominences along the sun’s NE, SE, W, and SW limbs.
