Below, today’s H-alpha image shows 7 of 11 active regions visible on NASA’s SDO image. Two of the four missing active regions are situated at the sun’s western limb. The other two are located near AR4449 and AR4452; they are both too faint to see in my images below.
The arrows in the H-alpha image point to two prominences that can actually be seen in the broad-band image as well. The largest prominence is actually along the sun’s SW limb.
