Paul Klotman’s weekly COVID update is out today. The epidemiological picture continues to improve. But, we should remain vigilant even as we have reason to be optimistic.
This virus has shown us that it is capable of moving among different species, mutating in each of them and then moving to another. This is further evidence that the original strain most likely came from another species rather than from a laboratory leak. I know that the conspiracy followers will be unpersuaded. Morons who believe they know more than they do rarely are. Alas.
I’m still wearing my mask to the store and other indoor venues. When I see the case rate fall below 10 per 100k, I’ll take a chill pill and eschew the mask. I look forward to seeing you on the other side of the COVID Apocalypse.
