This evening, Susan and I entertained our friends Tom and Kathy. We boiled up some bugs, corn, red potatoes, mushrooms and sausages. Kathy, Tom and I have known one another since we were in our twenties working in Austin’s first “high-tech” company – Tracor. We try to get together a few times a year, and bug season is one of those occasions that we have missed during the COVID pandemic.

Kathy’s tee-shirt addresses our idiot child Governor and Lt. Governor’s neglect of the Texas electric grid which is neither weatherized nor adequate for the demands that our Populus places upon it during winter storms.
It was good to spend time with our long-time friends after such a long absence.
