Susan roasted a whole duck for us. She stuffs the duck with a quartered orange and a generous sprig of fresh rosemary from the backyard. The roasting duck fills the house with the scent of rosemary – yummy. We served it up with dollops of two different chutneys, and a side salad from the Central Market’s salad bar.

Afterward, we went outside and sat on the deck. Susan watched some Korean drama, and I sipped a glass of wine while listening to MSNBC. This is escapist behavior in the time of dysphoria.
