I wandered into the living room just about noon today, and I saw Kedi lying flat on the doormat peering intently out the French doors to the deck. After just a bit, I noticed two young squirrels scampering to and fro – visiting the water features for a drink, hopping atop the potted plants on the deck, and running up and down the White Oak that arises from a hole in the deck. Just a bit later, there were two more squirrels, and then suddenly there were six in all – two mature ones, likely the parents, and four smaller ones, their offspring.

There was squirrel pandemonium on the deck – running, chasing, leaping and cavorting. I got my phone out in time to capture the end of their reverie.
