I really love Dungeness crab, and when I get it, it is usually a crab cluster – half of a body. Susan doesn’t like crab all that much, and when I have a crabby meal, she wants chicken pot pie. Why the hell not?

So, here is my crabby meal with drawn butter and a torn piece of French baguette (Is there any other way to serve a baguette?) I had a small Med salad; Susan just had her pot pie – protein and vegetables all together. When I was young, I ate a lot of frozen pot pies. These days, I have no interest in them.

To each his/her own.

  1. You had my favorite dinner! We have not been able to get them here!!!! There is one Asian market that gets them in but it is a bit of a drive for us. I will definitely have this for my summer BD. I can eat a whole one of fairly good size!!! Love crusty bread with them too. Of course, I may want to take a drive to the coast where our custom is to go to the pier and buy them straight from the fishing boat. Never disappointed!!!
Tell Susan that Sarah makes a mean chicken pot pie. It is usually in rotation for us after a whole chicken is roasted or grilled. It is also a wonderful meal.
Last night Sarah prepared a turkey that was in our freezer; a giveaway she thinks from the holidays. Since we have been having rain and chilly temps (sorry to mention), she made the traditional sides. It was wonderful and we will have it again tomorrow night.

    1. Excellent! I will tell Susan.

We could use some of your cooler weather and a spot of rain, for sure.
