My dinner plans for tonight included Greek meatballs with fettucine and a side of Greek Village salad. It didn’t quite work out that way. The meatballs at the store were baseball sized. I decided on the smaller Italian meatballs. Where I had thought to prepare the fettuccini in a tomato sauce, I decided at the last minute to use basil pesto – something that I had never before tried. The store had no Greek Village salad; so, I got a similar salad that had no pasta.

Susan took the four meatballs that I bought and turned them into eight smaller ones. She toasted some slices of baguette that we then slathered with basil pesto. The result appears below.

The meal was very yummy. Pesto on pasta really works!
