Central Texas, like the rest of Texas and much of the West and Southwest, has been experiencing a drought. Fall is our rainy season, and the last couple of weeks we have had the promise of rain almost daily – sometimes with actual rain. It’s frustrating, but most of our days have been cloudy without a single sprinkle. Alas.
Yesterday, we had a refreshing early afternoon thundershower – 1/2″ of rain. It will help replenish our reservoirs that are no more than 50-60% full. Tonight, we had another little shower. It probably produced less than 1/4″ of rain. Every little bit helps.
The early afternoon shower looked like this.
Tonight, I sat under the back porch and listened to this little storm. It was soothing.
