Yep, it’s my half-hearted attempt to exercise my last remaining synapse devoted to Italian. When we retired ten years ago, Susan and I decided that we would try to learn Italian. We bought the Pimsler method language lessons and completed almost all three sets. From time to time, I think of a phrase and do my best to render it in Italian; sometimes it works out better than others. This phrase is “Festival of the Monarch butterflies.”
Below are this afternoon’s visitors; there are now seven or perhaps eight Monarchs enjoying the mistflower blossoms, but there are no Queen or other big butterflies – maybe they will come later in the month.
