Around 6:30PM, Susan went into the kitchen to melt butter for this evening’s dinner. We are having steamed Lobsters and artichoke. It’s been a while since we had the decadent indulgence. She returned from the kitchen to draw my attention away from MSNBC and to draw me into the dining room. From there, we could see Mr. News (the temporary name I have assigned to the fox) napping on his favorite ottoman.

We took a few pictures, and then I decided to make a short movie. He rested peacefully until some backyard noise got his attention. He alerted for a moment and looked around before settling back to his nap.

He slept peacefully for over an hour, and by the time we sat down for our dinner, he had moved into the chair.

Later, he returned to the ottoman. He’s not sure which one he prefers. By 8:10PM, the sun was setting, and he woke up without any external stimulus. He set out into the evening to hunt for morsels, no doubt.
