I spent a few minutes today out in the heat cutting up a fallen Elm branch and bagging its remnants. Tonight, we had another thunderstorm, but this one at least brought rain. Unfortunately, it also brought 60mph winds that tore two more large Elm limbs down. Alas.
I don’t think that I am up to chopping up three huge Elm limbs with my toy-sized chainsaw. It’s time to call the lawn care service and let the pro’s take care of the mess. Watch the entire strip below, and you will see one of the two large limb that blew down tonight. Merde!
Reminds me of the May 11, 1970 Lubbock tornado. As I remember it, the trees were almost parallel to the ground. That’s when we (5-week old Amy, Mike and I) took refuge in the bathtub with a mattress on top of us.
Scary. 🫨
