Tonight’s dinner was a baked lamb loin crusted in panko with a side of peewee potatoes and sauteed shitake mushrooms. The salad was fresh pineapple chunks with jullienned basil from our container herb garden and a dusting of Trecha’s chili spice (something akin to Tajin but ground more finely.) It was all yummy.

    News from our end is that Sarah returned on Sat AM from 10 days in Mexico; her first time and she loved it. She had a great time. Home Saturday to Monday; she started to feel bad Monday night. I decided to give her a COVID test Tuesday AM. Yep. Positive. She was able to get into an urgent care that afternoon and they did a metabolic panel to be sure her kidneys were OK for her to take Paxlovid. She had great blood studies (all “A’s”) and she was able to start it immediately.
    I had my last booster before we went to see my sister for her 90th birthday end of May. I am keeping my distance from Sarah. We have ordered food and supplies since she got her diagnosis. They told her to quarantine until tomorrow but she is not feeling that well.
    Think good thoughts for me. I’m doing my best to be optimistic, but I was with her for 3 days before she realized she was ill.
