It’s a favorite Christmas movie of mine. You may recall that the bad guy, Hans Gruber, winds up hanging from a ledge near the end of the movie, and he falls to his death, we think, while trying to discharge his firearm at Bruce Willis’ character. This evening, I saw a post on the Americans Against The Republican Party page that showed a likeness of Trump with his fingers clinging to the ledge of a building. The caption asked, “What would you do?”
I answered that I asked myself what Republican Jesus would do if it were Biden rather than Trump. That’s when I decided to stomp on Trump’s knuckles. A few other commenters had responded similarly albeit without invoking Republican Jesus. Then I got a FB notification saying that my comment went against FB’s community standards and asked me whether I wanted to delete my comment. I thought to myself, “WTF is the point of having a blog if you aren’t going to post your snark there rather than on FB?
So, here is my comment – shades of Die Hard. It isn’t the fall that will mess you up, Pendejo. It’s the rapid deceleration when you land.
Ah, I feel so much better now. 🙂
