First Lady, Surgeon General Team Up With DC Comics In Effort To Encourage COVID-19 Vaccinations Among Kids
On its website, ABC News (11/14, Nagle) reports First Lady Jill Biden took “reinforcements with her when she” visited the Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston “to promote pediatric vaccines alongside Surgeon General Vivek Murthy: Superman and Wonder Woman.” Biden and Murthy teamed “up with the comic book legends as part of their effort to encourage parents and guardians to get children ages 5 to 11 vaccinated” against COVID-19. Children “who receive their COVID-19 vaccination at a Children’s Hospital clinic in November or December will receive bandages featuring DC Comics characters, as well as coloring and activity books – a collaboration among the White House, DC Comics and WarnerMedia.”
We should expect Wendy Rogers and Ted Cruz to implode over this. 🙂
