First Lady, Surgeon General Team Up With DC Comics In Effort To Encourage COVID-19 Vaccinations Among Kids

On its website, ABC News (11/14, Nagle) reports First Lady Jill Biden took โ€œreinforcements with her when sheโ€ visited the Texas Childrenโ€™s Hospital in Houston โ€œto promote pediatric vaccines alongside Surgeon General Vivek Murthy: Superman and Wonder Woman.โ€ Biden and Murthy teamed โ€œup with the comic book legends as part of their effort to encourage parents and guardians to get children ages 5 to 11 vaccinatedโ€ against COVID-19. Children โ€œwho receive their COVID-19 vaccination at a Childrenโ€™s Hospital clinic in November or December will receive bandages featuring DC Comics characters, as well as coloring and activity books โ€“ a collaboration among the White House, DC Comics and WarnerMedia.โ€
