I grilled two fresh corns on the cob tonight and followed them with a slab of choice grade boneless ribeye. The corn got the full Mexican elote treatment (butter, Tajin, and Cotija).
While the steak was resting, I sauteed some Shiitake mushrooms that I had just sliced. I was planning to make a bleu cheese cream sauce for them, but the bleu cheese had been spoiled (explanation tomorrow).
I served up the corn and meat with a bit of spring mix salad, and we had a nice dinner. But, I forgot the mushrooms on the stove! I hate it when that happens. We had our supper, retired to the living room for a movie, and later had the last bit of steak with the mushrooms. It was delish!
