Susan asked me to buy a ham at the store, if they were still available. A few were, and I came home with a 3# sliced ham that set us back about $8/lb. That’s way less expensive than USDA Choice beef or our usual seafood selections.
Tonight, I grilled a couple of slices for her and another two for me. The accompaniments were some rings of canned pineapple and a side of oven-roasted eggplant, aubergine, or berenjena, if you prefer.
It was a good meal, and we have many more meals to create from this ham.
