We expected yesterday evening; so, I sous vide a boneless ribeye and finished it in our cast iron pan. I roasted a couple of Shishito peppers in the pan before adding the steak. In another pan, I prepared our signature bleu cheese cream sauce with sliced Shiitake mushrooms. Susan had roasted a couple of ears of yellow corn in the oven, and we prepared them as Mexican elotes to compliment the smothered medium rare steak.

The rain never came. Sigh.
