I have three more doses of Paxlovid to take before I complete my five-day course of COVID antiviral therapy. I started feeling almost normal after the first three doses (two doses each day), and I have been symptom free for the last couple of days. Thank you, Science! And thank you to all my friends who wished me a speedy recovery; I appreciate all of your well wishes.

Dinner this evening was a grilled, choice, boneless ribeye steak and grilled corn. My corn was prepared as Mexican elote with butter, Cotija cheese, and Tajin. Susan had hers with butter alone. To each his/her own. The steak was prepared medium rare. The side was a salad that included crostini with basil pesto, pickled vegetables, mushroom medley, a Dolma, and a leaf of Belgian endive packed with bleu cheese crumbles.

It was a delicious, gustatory explosion – dare I say food-gasm!
