We have been without a feline for several months, and Susan decided to look among the kittens on the Austin Animal Shelter’s website. We had already decided that we wanted a bonded pair of female kittens, and Susan found suitable candidates that were being fostered in nearby San Marcos. We picked them up yesterday.
Below is a little tortie who we have named Kedi; Kedi is the Turkish word for cat. All of the torties that we have had, have been named “cat” in a variety of different languages. The most recent prior to Kedi was “The Chat.”

Her sister is named Maia – one of the Seven Sisters in the Pleiades open cluster. Maia is a tabby and white with longer hair than Kedi’s.

Both of these young ladies are just getting oriented to the layout of the house. They’ve already found a number of serviceable hideouts for those occasions that danger or uncertainty present themselves.
So happy for you and Susan. Our fur babies bring such joy to life. Those two kitties hit the jackpot.
So sweet! Happy little kitties to have a good home now!
Can’t wait to meet them both!
