Dinner this evening was pan-fried Halibut with a salsa of mango, avocado, red onion, and cilantro with a squeeze of lime and a sprinkle of salt. The salad was inspired by friend (and still employed clinical colleague) Stephanie Tabone. It was fresh figs filled with unsalted, lavender honey goat’s cheese.

The figs were presented in a manner evocative of those leathery Xenomorph eggs from the Alien movies. They looked like this:

I dressed these lovely figgy items with Bordeaux Cherry balsamic from The Olive Tap. It was an orgasmic dessert.
