The new sunspot group barely visible on the sun’s eastern limb yesterday is coming into clearer view today; I still haven’t seen a designation for it, but AR3848 is the next available group number. We shall see what designation it gets tomorrow.

There are prominences along the east, west, and southwestern limbs. Those along the western limb form an intricate cascade of arcs.
