Another clear day. The comparison images appear below.


In the image on the left, there are prominences along the southeastern, northwestern and western limbs. The image on the right highlights the sunspot active regions. A new, not yet named, active region is emerging from the eastern limb.
The prominences are emphasized below. The arcs of solar plasma along the northwestern limb are erupting into the chromosphere. Some of that material will probably be ejected into the solar corona.

The sunspot active regions are highlighted below. Note the new region at the edge of the eastern limb.
